Library Aid Africa received 86 applications from libraries across 15 African countries for the Library Digital Inclusion Project 2026, an initiative designed to strengthen the capacity of libraries to lead digital inclusion efforts within their communities. The quality of applications made the selection process both exciting and challenging. Each application shared a unique story of the emerging roles of libraries, and their impactful work in Supporting literacy development through innovative learning programs, digital access and equipping people with essential digital skills, and creating safe, inclusive spaces for learning and community connection

Following a rigorous review process, we are pleased to announce the six libraries selected for the Library Digital Inclusion Project 2026. These libraries will participate in a series of workshops, mentoring sessions, and co-design activities to support library programming and €1,000 implementation support for their library digital inclusion.

5. Sierra Leone Library Board—Sierra Leone
6. Linda Dwweba Public Library—South Africa
